About Me
English teacher, teacher trainer and educational writer with over 30 years of international experience.
For more than three decades, I have worked in English language education across a wide range of contexts in Spain, the UK, Mexico, Nigeria, South Africa and Greece, and have been invited to speak at conferences and professional events around the world.I help learners achieve greater fluency and accuracy through dynamic, communicative and tailor-made private classes. Much of my work in teacher education, course design, and educational materials aims to connect language learning with global issues, particularly sustainability and environmental education.I've collaborated with organisations including the British Council, National Geographic Learning and UNESCO on projects that support innovative approaches to teaching and learning. My work has also contributed to international research and publications in the field of sustainability and language education, including projects associated with The International Research Foundation for English Language Education (TIRF).Alongside my teaching and consultancy work, I regularly give workshops and training sessions that help educators explore how sustainability and environmental issues can be meaningfully integrated into language education.A lifelong interest in wildlife and the natural world has strongly influenced my personal life and work. I live in the Bay of Cádiz, an area of exceptional biodiversity, where I volunteer in nature conservation, citizen science projects and environmental education. And in my professional life, in 2019 I co-founded ELT Footprint, an international community of more than 4,000 educators dedicated to promoting sustainability in language education.
